REEDBUCK HUNTING METHODS

Due to their habit of enjoying first and last light, this is one of the best times to hunt them as they bed down in long grass or reed beds during the heat of the day. The best way is to find some high ground overlooking a marsh and glass the area carefully. Once located, mark the spot as carefully as possible and head towards your prey in order to cut down the shooting distance. Once you get closer the stalk will commence until you are in a position to take a shot. Sometimes the animal may unfortunately nestle down to bed and then you should use your scent to flush the animal.
